Hat Productions LLC was founded by Ben Semanoff shortly
after the success of his award-winning film, On
Common Ground.
The film's executive producer, Ira Semanoff, joined Ben
in launching the company. By the way, Ira is also Ben's
father.
Quite naturally, Top Hat has a family orientation
towards it's staff, crews, and clients.
And
through the combination of Ben's and Ira's leadership, Top
Hat brings you an insightful and creative blend of perspectives,
talents, experiences and exuberance!
There's also the personal service and attention of a company
that is family-owned and operated

Ben
Semanoff is an award-winning film and video director
with considerable experience writing, producing, directing
and editing films, commercials, corporate videos, medical
videos, documentaries, music videos, and interactive projects.
These
days, Ben spends a large part of his time creating what we
call Camera-Motion-Magic sm.
This includes Ben's work as a skilled and respected Steadicam*
camera operator as well as technical director for SuperFlyCam…
the new and exciting fly-by-wire 35mm camera system.
Ben has credits for his specialized and engaging camera
work in a variety of motion pictures, including the
Disney film Glory Road. His work is seen frequently
in music videos, including Get
Money on MTV.

Ben has worked in Hollywood on music videos for artists
such as Britney Spears and Outkast, and TV commercials for
companies such as Mobil and Procter & Gamble.
He has been honored for "Exceptional Work in
the World of Film." Ben is a graduate of the
Film and Media Arts program at Temple University.

after being shown at film festivals around the world…
including a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival.
